The Handbook for Consultation With Federally-Recognized Indian Tribes outlines the method in which the Census Bureau plans its consultation between federally-recognized tribal governments and the national and regional offices of the Census Bureau. The handbook will provide guidance in achieving a consistent approach in tribal consultation and allow the flexibility, as budget permits, to accommodate particular circumstances on a tribal or regional basis. Conference: Innovative Data Sources for Regional Economic Analysis May 7-8, 2012 George Washington University Washington, DC
This conference will explore the potential of innovative federal, commercial, and university data sources to inform regional economic analysis, programs, and policies. Webinar: Bureau of Labor Statistics Green Jobs Data

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) recently issued results from the first of its green jobs surveys on green goods and services. This is the first U.S. national survey to attempt to ascertain information on green jobs (data issued to date from various sources have been estimates). The survey provides information on the detailed industries where green jobs occur, state-specific data, and information on green jobs in the private sector as well as all three levels of government. In this Employment and Training Administration-hosted webinar, BLS staff will explain the innovative methodology they used to count green jobs, explain the findings, describe future green jobs surveys, and answer questions.
