Census Bureau Releases My Congressional District App

Census has announced the release of a new My Congressional District Web application powered by the 2011 American Community Survey (ACS) 1-year estimates and Census Application Programming Interface (API).  This interactive tool provides the latest demographic and economic statistics for every district of the 113th Congress, including age, race, veteran status, employment, housing, education, income, and much more.  Learn more here.

 

 

FY 2014 Funding Recommendations Emerge from Appropriations Committees for NSF, Census, NIH, and Other Agencies

Despite the continuing disagreement on how much to spend on discretionary programs in FY 2014, the House and Senate Appropriations Committees have had a busy two weeks.  The $91 billion in additional funds the Senate has to allocate was quite evident in the numbers recommended for various program in the Commerce, Justice, Science (CJS) and the Labor, Health and Human Services (HHS), Education (ED) bills.  Read more here.
 

 

O*NET Database Updated

With the release of the O*NET 18.0 development database, comprehensive data is now available for 921 O*NET-SOC occupations, including the 105 O*NET-SOCs updated within this release.  The database now also includes Interests ratings for all 974 data-level occupations.  Find out more here.
