House Committee on Oversight & Government Reform Holds Hearing on “The Pros and Cons of Making the Census Bureau’s ACS Voluntary”
The House Committee on Oversight & Government Reform, Subcommittee on Health Care, District of Columbia, Census, and the National Archives, recently held a hearing addressing the American Community Survey voluntary response option. Witnesses included Congressman Ted Poe (R-TX), Census Bureau Director Robert Groves, Andrew Biggs of the American Enterprise Institute, Lawrence Yun from the National Association of Realtors, and Patrick Jankowski, Vice President of Research at the Greater Houston Partnership. Census Bureau Releases OnTheMap Version 6.0.1
The U.S. Census Bureau recently released OnTheMap Version 6.0.1. This maintenance release corrects a number of previously known bugs, including problems with the rendering of the Distance/Direction Chart, specific problems with the Search in both OnTheMap and the Text-Only Tool, and incorrect counts appearing for All Other Location in multiple years in the Destination Analysis.
