Census Requests Nominations to Serve on Advisory Committee

The Census Bureau is requesting nominations of individuals and organizations to serve on the National Advisory Committee on Racial, Ethnic, and Other Populations.  The Census Bureau will consider nominations received in response to this notice as well as from other sources.  Nominations must be submitted by April 20, 2012.

Calls for Comment

 

APDU maintains a list of open calls for comment on proposed federal data collections.  We periodically alert APDU members to newly added calls for comment.  Over the last several weeks, calls for comment on the following proposed data collections were published in the Federal Register (with due date):

Conference:
Innovative Data Sources for Regional Economic Analysis
 
May 7-8, 2012
George Washington University
Washington, DC

 

This conference will explore the potential of innovative federal, commercial, and university data sources to inform regional economic analysis, programs, and policies.  Presenters will be arranged in a “data fair” format in a 3,900 square foot room.

Attendees will include state and regional analysts and practitioners, academic researchers, federal economic program managers and policymakers, and federal statistical agency staff.

Conference information and links to over 60 innovative data sources are available here.  To date, commitments for 30 presentations have been received, and more are expected.  Attendance is free.
