Our 2024 conference was a success. Despite travel complications experienced by several participants, more than 80 of you joined us to discuss topics ranging from data journalism to record linkage. Key themes included the importance of data disaggregation, privacy protection, and record linkage.

This August, we’re sharing information about the ACS through social media posts and providing resources to advocate for the ACS and raise awareness about this essential survey.

Advocacy and Comment Opportunities
APDU recently signed on to:
- The Census Project letter to House Speaker Johnson and Minority Leader Jeffries stressing the importance of adequate funding for decennial preparations and urging the removal of a policy provision (Sec. 621) that would wreak havoc on response rates to all Census Bureau surveys.
The U.S. Census Bureau seeks public comment on the 2030 on the establishment of the 2030 Census Redistricting Data program. Comments are due today (August 8, 2024).
