Early Registration Ends NEXT FRIDAY!!!

On the cutting edge of the future of our federal statistics, the Association of Public Data Users is focusing its 2012 conference on the future of public data in an environment of increasingly tight budgets and rapidly expanding technologies.

No matter the specific content of your data, rapid changes in access to “big data” are changing the types of information we can capture, and “open data” are creating tremendous new opportunities for marrying available administrative records in ways that were never tried before.

What does this mean for the data sources you care about?  Census, BLS, BEA, or whatever the agency – all are exploring these trends, and you should be here helping data producers as they navigate these uncertain times!

Join us at George Washington University on September 12 and 13 as we begin to cast “The Future of the Federal Statistical System in an Era of Open Government Data.”

Although applicants must be non-profit organizations, they are encouraged to partner with for-profit entities and/or use commercial and/or administrative datasets.

The NEA anticipates awarding up to 25 grants in the range of $10,000 to $30,000. The deadline for application submission is November 6, 2012 for projects that can begin as early as May 1, 2013.
