CFPB Will Take Consumer Complaints Public Consumers will be able to share their gripes with financial institutions publicly on a government database, thanks to a decision from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. The watchdog agency announced that it would allow consumers that submit a complaint to the CFPB and make that complaint public on the agency’s website.

Dept. of Ed Considers Creating 2 College-Ratings Systems The Education Department, under continued fire over its planned college-rating system, is considering creating two systems, an agency official said at a policy briefing. The first ratings system would be geared toward consumers and be based on raw outcomes metrics, while the second would be geared toward policy makers and researchers.
