Foundations for Evidence-Based Policymaking Act of 2018

Just over one year after the U.S. Commission on Evidence-Based Policymaking issued its bipartisan report, the Senate unanimously advanced legislation that addresses 11 of the commission?s 22 recommendations in the Foundations for Evidence-Based Policymaking Act of 2018.

 

The Census Project Letter Supports Dr. Steven Dillingham

Time is running out on the lame duck session and, more importantly, on preparations for the

2020 Census. The Bureau needs a leader in place, trusted by the White House and accountable to

Congress, at this crucial juncture in the ramp up to America?s largest peacetime mobilization.

Census stakeholders acknowledge that decennial census data are central to American democracy,

affecting not only apportionment and redistricting, but also the distribution of approximately

$600 billion in federal funding across the nation every year, in addition to underpinning the
