The Presidential Innovation Fellows (PIF) is a high-profile White House-sponsored program that pairs top innovators from the private sector, non-profits, and academia with top innovators in government to collaborate during focused 6-12 month “tours of duty” to develop solutions that can save lives, save taxpayer money, and fuel job creation. Call for Papers for the 2013 FCSM Research Conference
The 2013 Federal Committee on Statistical Methodology (FCSM) Research Conference will be held on November 4-6, 2013 at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. This three-day conference will bring together researchers in the statistical community from government, private sector, and academia to discuss and exchange current research and methodological topics relevant to statistical programs.
Abstract submission for the 2013 FCSM Research Conference is currently open. The window for abstracts for papers, technical demonstrations, and organized sessions will remian open until April 8, 2013. 2015 HUD American Housing Survey Redesign
On February 1, HUD issued a Federal Register Notice seeking public comment on the redesign of the AHS for 2015 and beyond. The Federal Register Notice represents the first opportunity to submit written comments to HUD regarding redesign issues. To get AHS users thinking about issues and ideas, the Notice includes numerous questions for AHS user consideration. HUD strongly urges AHS users to submit written comments. See more here.

BLS Celebrates 40 Years of Safety and Health Data
The Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Safety and Health Statistics (OSHS) Program will hold a special conference May 15-16, 2013, in Washington D.C. to celebrate 40 years of collecting and publishing data on work-related injuries, illnesses, and fatalities from the Survey of Occupational Injuries and Illnesses (SOII) and Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries (CFOI).
